I know that it’s been some time since my last post but I wanted to talk about the Cuisinart griddler GR-4N removable plates griddle. Apparently the GR-4N model of Cuisinart is quite popular recently, and some would claim that for a good reason – the appliance is good and may remind you some of the good and popular indoor electric grill models.
The first time you stare at the unit and read the description, you might be concerned about the price of the Cuisinart GR-4N griddler, since it’s quite high, even for other quality and popular electric griddles like the BroilKing Professional griddle I believe (the Presto griddles on the other hand are considered cheap). But enough talking about the price of the Cuisinart griddler GR-4N, obviously it’s not how much the griddle cost that’s so important but how it functions (hopefully good, but you can’t trust that before investigating and researching).
First of all, the Cuisinart griddle is not only considered as an electric griddle and an electric grill, but it can also serve as a panini press, different combinations of griddle and grill, or a contact grill (which makes it similar to the George Foreman grill, but no identical of course). The Cuisinart GR 4N griddler is also spacious enough so that the user would be able to cook nice pancakes, steaks and other foods for a number of people simultaneously, yet it’s not as big and large as the Presto electric griddle, and even when you compare it to other indoor electric griddle designs.
Moreover, like the George Foreman grp99 grill, the Cuisinart griddler GR-4N seems to have removable grilling plates that can be removed for easy cleaning (and the plates are also nonstick). A cookbook that is containing recipes for the griddler is also added with the unit, but it’s important to stress that you are not limited to the recipes contained in this book (and I believe that most grills and griddles don’t come with such a cookbook, like the George Foreman indoor grill that comes without such a book). There is also a spatula that is especially designed so that we wouldn’t harm the delicate nonstick surface, thus maintaing the Cuisinart GR-4N griddler much better and preserving it’s quality.
From people that I have been speaking to (that actually own this not so cheap appliance) I understand that the Cuisinart griddler has a flat surface that drain the grease (for healthy cooking) and also heat the food evenly – which is very important if you want to have tasty and greatly looking pancakes. It does get quite hot, and the heat is maintained by the heating mechanism of this quality appliance.
It’s true that the Cuisinart GR-4N griddler isn’t perfect, but it’s much better than most of the other electric griddles and grills that I have encountered, which makes me want to obtain this interesting grill. So, if I do managed to get my hands at the Cuisinart griddler GR-4N I will examine and test it, and hopefully report the results here, as long as everything goes well, and there is no reason that it the review would be different from any other indoor electric grill that I have had experience with.
For the last post other than this review about the griddler of Cuisinart, which is about electric griddle and other griddles, follow the link and have fun. And I hope to find out that both the George Foreman indoor electric grill as well as the Cuisinart griddle are great appliances that are worth the money.
