We have already had two of the George Foreman grills before getting this one, so it’s basically the third George Foreman electric grill that was lucky enough to be in our apartment (and we were lucky enough to have such a griddle grill). After using this electric griddle a lot we are just happy that the unit actually included those removable grilling plates that make the cooking so much easier. It’s hard to not respect this kitchen appliance after using so much with great results, and this unit can also take the place of your indoor electric grill.
Honestly, the majority of the people that we know that possessed one of the George Foreman indoor electric grill models never actually took advantage of the grilling plates, and after washing the entire unit each time manually they decided that using the George Foreman grill caused too much headache to be worth the food. When using the George Foreman grill GRP99 you can just remove the cooking plates and place them in the dishwasher, with no cleaning involved whatsoever.
In addition, we have heard about other electric griddles that we should try but haven’t tried them yet. Some of them were the Delonghi indoor electric grill that does look quite promising but I would just rather take the George Foreman unit instead. There is also the really popular Sanyo indoor electric grill, but again I would personally take the one that I know is working for sure.
Another thing that might be important about to the George Foreman grill GRP99 is that this model has different a setting when compared to the previous designs. With the previous electric grills you could just heat the unit up, throw some food on it, and well that was it. On the other hand, in order to get adequate results with the recent indoor electric griddle of the George Foreman the user is required to put some more efforts, by setting the temperature and allowing the griddle to preheat (it can be confusing if you are not familiar with the exact model).
The electric griddle also includes a manual that provides you with instruction on the exact temperature and time frame for each food that you intend to cook with it. Despite the fact that it requires some more work, you can get accustomed to it in practically no time. Probably the only negative thing of the George Foreman grill GRP99 is this little thing, however the cooked food is still fantastic. Another good thing about this electric griddle grill is the short time that it takes to reach 350 degrees, about no longer than two to three minutes, amazing feat in my opinion.
I would say that this design is worthwhile even if you currently posses a great George Foreman indoor grill that delivers great results, yet if this model doesn’t include the removable grilling plates and I would definitely recommend you to get the George Foreman grill GRP99. It’s really is that good, and if you like burgers and pancakes you won’t regret it.
